There is ample parking in front for your water toys. The home has three bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other two with full size beds. There are two full baths and the kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, glasses, plates, and pans. The kitchen has a micro wave, full size refridge,coffee maker, and electric range. There is wifi available as well as satellite tv and blue ray player for guest use. If you have never stayed near the lake you might check your cell phone coverage for the area. We use the wifi for calling . The home and property has a view of the lake to the west and is situated on a bluff with views of mesas to the east and north. It an abundance of granite countertop space and a large island. You’ll be able to fit all the cooks in your party in the kitchen to make huge meals and entertain everyone. There are two dishwashers, wine, and beer fridge, a paella pan, vita mix, six burner stove, stocked coffee and tea bar, and a breakfast nook in the kitchen. The Great room is fantastic, it has a beautiful tiled wood fireplace, oriental rugs, soaring ceilings, lots of seating, and wonderful arched windows to let in the moonlight or watch the stars. Adjoining the Great room is a large dining room that can be configured to seat large groups to dine. The dining room has its own gas custom tiled fireplace. There is a large barbeque grill on the garden patio. The front garden has a magnificent iron horse statue, Paco by Siri Hollander. Paco stands watch over the valley amidst an aspen grove, wild rose bushes, and stalks of mullein. In the front garden, there is a bonfire pit area that is surrounded by stone benches. When weather conditions are favorable the staff can be available to assist in the preparation and starting of a bonfire. There are very low levels of light pollution at Leaping Deer Ranch, so be sure to plan to do some star gazing during your stay. The night skies here are one of our very favorite features of the Ranch. We rescued Athena, Ginger, Cheyenne, and Misty (our four quarter horses) from a destiny at the slaughterhouse in 2009. They have been out to pasture at Leaping Deer Ranch ever since. They are super spoiled and have a great life. They love to meet guests at the ranch. Ginger is a bit shy. The horses like to spend most of the day near the lake. Feel free to go for a walk through the fields to meet the horses and bring them some treats. Note: the horses don’t like dogs, don’t bring your dogs to meet the horses. We have an extensive art collection at the ranch. There are 28 fiber art pieces on display throughout the villa. The pieces are extraordinarily intricate and constitute one of the largest private collections of fiber art in the country. The property has previously been used for modeling shoots, television series sets (Longmire), and even for a custom vehicle calendar photo shoot. It is truly beautiful at Leaping Deer Ranch so be sure to bring your best cameras because you’ll get some magnificent images. From the expansive wrap around porch, you can look across the valley and see the wagon wheel rut trails from when the Santa Fe trail route passed through the area 170 years ago. Guests are welcome to hike and explore the property, visit with the horses, and enjoy the natural beauty and energy that our land has blessed us with. There are many species of birds, wildflowers, hummingbirds, butterflies, insects, mushrooms, deer, elk, foxes, coyotes, and even an occasional sighting of a bobcat on the property. Be careful bouldering up the ridge as many of the rocks are loose. There is a small cave on the north side of the ridge, go explore and see if you can locate it. A lot of people like to climb up on the rocks and find a spot to meditate. Amenities We have a hot tub that is a great place to enjoy star gazing. The wifi network has six hotspot routers to allow for coverage through the villa, apartment, and hall. There are three custom tiled fireplaces. It needs to be said again, the night skies are spectacular if you have a telescope… bring it. We are home to the largest labyrinth in the State of New Mexico. After a month of work to prepare the ground and moving tons and tons of rocks, there is now a beautiful 100-foot diameter Chartres replica labyrinth. People use the labyrinth for reflective walks and meditations, it is a great metaphor for our journey through life. Additional Services We have some extras that may be available depending on availability and schedules. It will be best to coordinate these things before you arrive, but last minute requests will try to be filled. - Shooting at our private 250-yard rifle range. The cost per person is $10, rounds and targets are not provided. - Massage Therapy sessions are available but must be scheduled. The cost for a 1-hour massage with Tamara is $100. - Yoga in the event hall with either Lisa or Tamara is available and needs to be scheduled. Angel Fire Outback means this cozy and comfortable 3/2 (sleeps 10-12) log cabin is located just 5 miles from the center of Angel Fire, 'outback' towards Black Lake on 434. It is part of an area of similiar but secluded log cabin homes called 'Logger's Ridge'. The home has a great deck on front and a smaller back deck with bbq just outside kitchen door, lots of trees and is just real peaceful. A wonderful and safe location for families. We are pet friendly and welcome all well behaved family pets.(small 4 ft. fenced in area for kids and pets to play safely) The master bedroom has a queen bed and unique master bath. Second bedroom has a queen bed and shares a bathroom with the third kids bedroom which will has a double, double bunk bed with trundle under plus TV/DVD and toys, set up primarily for kids. In the large living room we have two comfortable futons that can sleep four people if necessary. There is also a very comfortable couch. Winter heat is provided by electric floor heaters or, with very little effort, light up the slow combustion fireplace and enjoy that soothing heat that only a fire can deliver. We have a well stocked wood shed under cabin. Fully equiped and well stocked kitchen. There is a gas fired bbq on back deck. Your home away from home! It’s loaded! 4wd is mandatory during winter months!! This is a 2 story log home with 3 bedrooms/2.5 baths and has a large loft and is located approximately 5 miles from Angel Fire. The roads are good but are not paved. 4wd is mandatory during winter months!! The roads do get snow packed at times and when the snow melts it can gets muddy. The home is situated on a peaceful road with very little traffic and is very private. We do have cell phone service at the home with a booster but there is not any wifi available. The main floor has a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a bay window to watch the wildlife, full bathroom with garden tub and shower, TV w/dish. There is an additional bedroom on the main floor that has a queen-size bed, TV w/dish with bathroom across the hall. Upstairs has a very large bedroom with 3 queen size beds, TV w/dish and a balcony. Also upstairs is a large loft that has 1 queen-size bed and 2 twins, TV w/dish. Downstairs below the main floor there is a twin bed with a half bath. All linens and towels are provided as well as extra blankets. A washer and dryer is also available on the bottom floor. There is a comfortable living area with reclining sofa and love seat and 1 recliner chair, Dish Tv, DVD and an electric fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a microwave, Keurig coffeemaker and regular coffeemaker, small appliances. There is a large deck with beautiful views and hummingbird watching for your morning coffee. Also on the deck is a grill for cooking out, the grill has propane on one side and charcoal on the other. This a non-smoking home and we do not allow pets.
